FreeCell Solitaire is a modern variant of the classic, and time tested, strategy game of the same name. The traditional version of FreeCell involved three and four players across three or four grids of eight cells, with the objective of remaining within the bounds of each square for the duration of time specified on the playing cards. The new FreeCell solitaire, on the other hand, is played using a single player game setting. In this form of the game, each player enters the game with only their placement cards – there is no additional inventory to keep track of. Players may alternately move slot frozen gems around any two of those four cells, with each player taking turns until a player is placed into their opponent’s square. Playing in this way is a fast-paced action game that is suitable for players who enjoy a good challenge and a solid strategy game experience, but who do not wish to invest the time and resources into other types of games.

FreeCell Solitaire is played in the same way as any other solitaire game, with each player working to lay down the most cards possible by arranging them in the best possible sequence, alternating colors and laying down matching cards. When a player has finished laying down their cards, they may move their little stack of cards to any square on the playing field to make a new layout. However, before a player can do this, they must first choose which stack they would like to maneuver. Once they have selected that stack, any moves prior to this step must be preceded by moving all of that player’s pieces to that square on the tableau.

If any of the four piles on the playing field are empty, a player may freely move their piece(s) to any part of the play area, as long as the other players also move theirs to another empty square on the field. Any piece remaining in one of the piles on the top right side of the tableau will stay there and be inaccessible to any player, so it is crucial to have at least one piece in each of the four piles. Once all of the stacks have been moved, the player with the winning hand play fire joker for free is declared the winner.
